Sohrab Salimi

Sohrab is primarily an entrepreneur and thus a practitioner rather than a theorist. He is driven by the goal of improving products and services and their creation process.

With over 20 years of experience, having trained more than 10,000 participants, numerous agile certifications, his accreditation as a Strategyzer Coach, as well as numerous e-learning and in-house courses, Sohrab is one of the most experienced and versatile agile trainers in the world.

His global work with large and small organizations in various industries enriches his training. This makes his live training and online courses a blend of insights and practices from the fields of pharma, medtech, automotive, IT, telecom, and financial services. These experiences enable him to provide examples and reach people at all levels in companies—from the boardroom and C-suite to the development team.

Among his satisfied and long-term clients are Roche, MAN Truck & Bus, Trivago, Bosch, and Allianz.

In addition to live training, online courses, in-house training, and consulting activities, Sohrab also hosts the regularly held Agile Insights Conversations. In these discussions, he regularly interviews globally renowned authors, thought leaders, and experts on agile topics.

Sohrab also drives the translation of agile literature into German and has already translated Geoff Watts' books ("Product Mastery" and "Scrum Mastery"). He is currently working on translating "Beyond Budgeting" (Bjarte Bogsness) and "Radical Focus" (Christina Wodtke) for the German market, with publication planned for 2024.

The Scrum Academy GmbH, founded by Sohrab, is also the platform operator of the Agile Academy, owns several YouTube channels on agile topics, and was the organizer of the agile100 conference series until 2021.

Sohrab lives with his wife and three children in Cologne. In his spare time, he is very active in sports (hence the many analogies in his courses), reads, cooks, sings, and enjoys traveling.
